KOROP DISTRICT: START POINT ASSESMENT

Three districts of Chernihiv Region work on the economic development strategies in cooperation with the USAID/LED Project and ChernihivInvest Agency. Korop District is among them, where the Strategic Planning Committee met on August 1, 2008 to discuss the present situation and development trends.
Two analytical documents have been considered by the Committee – Community Profile and Business Attitude Survey, which contain both statistics and subjective opinions. On the basis of these two documents the Committee defined the Districts’ strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT). This analysis will be the basis for the following planning steps.
